I somehow use a double-layer base. I wear a T-shirt with short sleeves and Boxer, both EMS Techwick (Teckwick Level 1). Then Techwick Level 3-layer long underwear at the beginning of this. Both are available in http://www.ems.com
I sightseeing and excursions with snowshoes in northern Pennsylvania and resorts throughout the northeast United States. Techwick is very warm and wicks well. I wore this combination with wool trousers and a wool sweater and a jacket Primaloft Janvier one days when the temperature was 3 F. After 3 miles I was sweating.
Techwick Capalino has similar properties Patagonia. It is a bit cheaper, and I think that makes it so good job. I have the device in Patagonia, in the past, but as EMS hardware cheaper, I do not remember buying Patagonia.
When I was in Vermont, winter camping is relatively common. I spent many nights around 10F-time. I am particularly fleece pants and a midweight fleece hoody, so cold, but I have a-20F rated sleeping bag too, so I oftenjust want to sleep in a new game Techwick. All Wool 100 pesos standard Malden Mills Polar Fleece. I have several games that are employed by different companies, (LL Bean, EMS, Sierra Blanca, Goody, Vermont, and a local place in Pennsylvania.)
She came to me for the past 7 years.
I really have no opinion under Armor. Although someone who is 17 years, no doubt, write something you swear it's the best. I do not know ... But a hell of a marketing campaign. May good things are great, but the vast majority of customers are under 20 year olds, I wonder how many other brands long underwear under a fan Armor have been tried.
I also used Duofold. This stuff is good enough to be used when not active. I use it occasionally deer. When you start driving, if they need me, I get hot, and things do not breathe, and EMS and other Patagonia.
SmartWool long underwear is also very good for my friend WHo is also an avid skiers and winter campers. It is expensive but works very well. Most of my socks (socks) are including the suit Smartwool. Wicks things like nothing I've used. I have always Smartwool, a blend of merino wool in 1999 and is the best material. I Ragg wool, synthetic socks, socks, and I am now testing the Teko socks. Smartwool nor my vote as the best material for your feet. Will I stay dry and warm all day. I have a hat Smartwool ... In addition, warm and wicks.

Keep warm and stay away from all that cotton!
http://www.canterburynzusa.com/ionx.php I like this stuff. Under Armor similar but much more convenient and cheaper.
